Science / project plan

An aerial survey for wintering seabirds will be carried out in Southwest Greenland (Aasiaat to Kap Farvel) during March. The aim is to quantify seabird densities in the coastal areas and in the fjords and to compare with a similar survey conducted in 1999. The survey is primarily designed to quantify densities of common eider, king eider and long-tailed duck, but other species are recorded as well.
