Science / project plan

Each year 9-10 common eider breeding areas in the Nuuk area are surveyed by a local monitoring team from Nuuk. This community-based monitoring program started in 2014 and along with a similar program in Northwest Greenland (started in 2001), this constitute the prime data source for documenting common eider population trends in West Greenland. App. every five years GINR conducts supplementary ground surveys in the same area.
